07 January - Imperial County Now Open!

We've opened a site for Imperial County residents who can now begin posting to their own site. With Imperial County now open, Southern California is now complete with all ten counties included in CalSwap.

19 November - Three new counties opened

07 November - Added Outdoor & Sporting and Appliance Category

Today we added the new Outdoor and Sporting category along with the Appliance category. These new categories will make it easier for you to find the items you are searching for. Since they are new, not many listings will be in there. The good news! Now is a good time to list your items for sale in these categories. You'll get high visibility and your ad will stay online for three months. And since you can renew your ad before it expires, you can keep it online until it sells...all for free.

07 November - New Categories open...

27 October - Three new categories created

Shells and trailers in the vehicle section. This is for auto and truck shells along with any type of vehicle trailers be it utility, cargo or transport. Heavy equipment in the business category for backhoes, fork lifts, cranes ect. Cats was also created in the Pet section for our feline friends.

17 September - Welcome Kern County visitors

Kern County is a county located in the southern Central Valley of the U.S. state of California. Established in 1866, it extends east beyond the southern slope of the Eastern Sierra Nevada range into the Mojave Desert, and includes parts of the Indian Wells Valley, and the Antelope Valley. It's now a full fledge member of the CalSwap family.

09 September - San Luis County site is now Open!

San Luis Obispo County is a county located along the Pacific Ocean in the Central Coast of the U.S. state of California, between Los Angeles and the San Francisco Bay Area. We now welcome all its residents to our classified site.

21 August - Welcome Santa Barbara

We have now opened another California county, Santa Barbara. We welcome are new users from Southern California to our site. CalSwap is a statewide network of online communities for the state of California.

11 August - Ventura County site opened today

We've just added Ventura County to our list of California counties here at Calswap. We welcome all new users from the Gold Coast to our site.

04 August - Rental Category added

We've just added a seperate category just for real estate rentals. I think the breadth and width of the subcategories covers the full range of rentals possibilities. However, the real estate section may still be tweaked in the upcoming week.

03 August - Real estate category expanded

Over the weekend, we are going to expand real estate into two main categories. One for sales and the other for rentals. The old city guide category has been intergrated into the community section. You will see some strange ad movement as we slowly move ads from Real Estate into their proper new categories.

28 July - San Bernardino and Riverside County now opened!

Today we added two more counties from Southern California. San Bernardino and Riverside counties. Information about these counties can be found on the wiki link on the home page. We welcome users from these two counties to our site.

08 July - San Diego County now open

We opened San Diego County today and it's now available for posting. We like officially welcome our new visitors and users from Sunny southern California.

23 June - Welcome Orange County California

We added Orange County California today to our list of California counties in Calswap. It's our second Southern California county and our 22nd county in total.

12 June - Message Board Now opened!

11 June - Welcome Los Angeles County

Our first Southern California county to join the CalSwap family. Welcome aboard!

02 June - This is clean up week

OK. It wasn't the most graceful upgrade but we got it done. We changed our name and added a whole bunch of new features for you to play with, more coming. Much of this week will be spent on clean up. Attending to the small details that we overlooked while we were losing our minds with the upgrade. If you see anything that we missed, don't worry about it; we'll get to it.

01 June - Name Change complete...

Bay Area Classifieds has officially become CalSwap on this day, June 1st of 2008. We still have some bugs and tweaks to iron out but ad posting has resumed on the site.
