Position Title: Welcome Center Attendant
Hiring Range: $8.24 – $10.00 per hour
Status: Part-time, Non-Exempt (Night Shifts– Weekend Shifts)

Position Description:
The Welcome Center staff member controls the flow of members, guests and the public into a welcoming facility environment and helps people access our services. Staff must open the facility on time, greet members, scan cards, communicate program and facility information, answer phones and register members for programs. The Welcome Center staff member also assists with membership tours and enrollments when necessary.
Areas of accountability include membership/program knowledge and enrollment, customer service, registration systems, cash accounting and other registration operations.

Additionally, this candidate should value diversity, youth, teens and have a broad vision of health and wellness, which is enhanced by relationship building.
The appropriate candidate for the Welcome Center Attendant will posses the following attributes: customer service experience, organized, excellent written and verbal communication skills, multi-tasking and problem solving capabilities, ability to contribute positively to the staff team, positive attitude and flexibility. Knowledge in Excel, Word, Power Point and As/400 a plus. This position requires a commitment to the YMCA mission and its core values of: honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring as well as a commitment to building developmental assets in adults and youth.
