Position Title: Film/Video Instructor
Hiring Range: $15.00-$20.00 per hour
Status: Part-Time, Non-Exempt

Position Description:
Exciting new position with potential of growth, the Film/Video Instructor will supervise participants and organize lessons for youth ages 8-13 years old. The Film/Video Instructor is responsible for the development of the Young Directors Class and providing quality curriculums with definite goals with measurable outcomes. Participants will learn the basic of video production: writing scrip, making storyboard, site survey, filming, camera moves, lighting, audio, and editing.
In addition, be able to provide a safe and positive experience for all participants in the Young Directors class. Provide frequent interaction with members, class participants and parents/guardians of class participants. All of the staff time is spent directly with class participants in an instructional environment.
Qualifications:
This position requires a commitment to the YMCA mission and its core values of: honesty, respect, responsibility and caring as well as a commitment to building developmental assets in adults and youth. Additionally, this candidate should value diversity, youth, teens and have a broad vision of health and wellness, which is enhanced by relationship building.
Must have First Aid and CPR or willing to obtain 30 days after hire. At least 2 years of experience working in engineering and or computer programming. Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology is preferred. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services. Responsible and dependable adult at least 18 years old with ability to supervise participants and organize daily lesson plans.
