The Tulare County Administrative Officer is seeking an experienced Administrative Analyst to join other professionals in performing diverse and complex work related to budget monitoring and analysis, promoting organizational effectiveness, policy planning and systems implementation. The current opportunity may be filled at the journey level, Administrative Analyst or at the advanced level, Senior Administrative Analyst, depending on qualifications and experience. The County Administrative Officer expects the individual selected for these challenging and rewarding jobs to take initiative, work with a high degree of independent judgment, and successfully multi-task projects and competing priorities.
The County Administrative Officer is responsible for the
day-to-day operation of the County, including preparing and monitoring the annual County budget. Through the coordination of County departmental activities, the Administrative Office works to differences among departments and ensure that local government operates efficiently and effectively. The County Administrative Office is housed with the Board of Supervisors and is physically located in the City of Visalia. The office adjoins a park-like setting with a public walking course and creek.
In 2006 the County embarked on a process of developing it’s first Strategic Management System with the goal of improving the basic way in which the county organization does business. This management system is being implemented at every level of local government, making for an exciting and challenging time in Tulare County, and especially in the County Administrative Office. The Administrative Office staff actively participates in planning processes and coordination of new services, within the new management system. This affords an Analyst a unique career opportunity and professional growth and development.
