Conducts interviews with probationers and others to obtain information and additional supporting documentation necessary for making a determination on the ability of the probationer to pay restitution to their victim(s), the County and/or for probation services received; analyzes court reports, financial statements and summaries of expenses and assets, and other documents; reviews information in relation to Title IV eligibility requirements; reviews the ability to pay during the grant of probation; makes recommendations for action to secure payment for restitution to victims, the County and/or probation services received, including recommendations for the transfer or suspension of collection activities on delinquent accounts; performs asset searches utilizing the Internet, computer database systems, and/or manual methods; makes referrals for employment or job training; accepts initial first payments from probationers in accordance with established policy and procedures, and sets up payment plan accounts for future payments; prepares court documents with recommendations regarding probationers' ability to pay and maintains statistical data for the preparation of reports; responds to court requests for status reports on probationers' financial obligation, and testifies in court on matters having to do with financial evaluation assessment/collection activities.
