Contra Costa County Health Services Department is recruiting individuals to fill entry level Ultrasound Technologist positions. Positions may be assigned to the Contra Costa County Regional Medical Center in Martinez or to Health Services Department outpatient health centers located in Richmond, Pittsburg, or Brentwood.
Ultrasound Technologist I is an entry level position. Employees in this class are responsible for selecting and utilizing appropriate ultrasound equipment, for adjusting equipment controls and for evaluation of the sound wave display screen to record the ultrasonic patterns produced. Other duties may include the following: developing technical factors and film selection; providing immobilization devices; and maintaining records and equipment.
