Contra Costa County accepts applications on an ongoing basis for Public Health Nurse positions in clinics throughout the County. Assignments may be in the Pittsburg, Concord, or Richmond offices and in the following program area.
Public Health Programs: Public Health Nurses educate the public in accepted health practices, make patient referrals, assist in the rehabilitation of handicapped individuals, and provide lead direction to ancillary workers. They also investigate and work towards controlling communicable disease and provide public health nursing services in a variety of public health programs and specialized clinics.
