The Contra Costa County Health Services Department is seeking Registered Nurses to fill permanent full-time, permanent part-time and per diem Advice Nurse positions. Advice Nurses are stationed in the telephone triage unit of the Contra Costa Health Plan, located in Martinez, California. Via the telephone, Advice Nurses assess the needs of over 120,000 patients, including members of the Contra Costa Health Plan, patients from contracting counties, and all users of the County ambulatory care services. Duties also include documenting telephone calls and making referrals.
Advice Nurses will report to the Contra Costa Health Plan’s Telephone Triage Manager. The Contra Costa Health Plan is the County’s federally qualified Health Maintenance Organization. Eligible candidates who successfully pass the County language fluency examination may receive a monthly differential depending upon assignment.
