Recreation Coordinator (Children’s Services) – City of Hercules, California – (Salary: $3,709 - $4,302 monthly, full-time plus benefits, PERS 2% @ 55). Under supervision of the Recreation Manager, this position is responsible for overseeing the operation and supervision of the before and after school child care programs, tiny tots programs, and holiday/summer camp programs; provides direction to staff at site; implements and coordinates the planning of all program lessons, coordinates staff schedules and ensures child/adult ratios are within licensing compliance at all times; and is responsible for the health, welfare, safety and supervision of all children enrolled in the program. Education and Experience: Four years experience leading recreational or educational programs and activities; at least one of the years must be in a supervisory capacity. Must be a high school graduate or GED equivalent; completion, with passing grades of 15 semester or equivalent quarter units at an accredited college or university; three of the 15 units must in administrative or staff relations. All units must meet licensing requirements. Must possess a valid California driver’s license; possess and maintain a CPR and first aide certificate. This position is part of the City of Hercules agency shop agreement with the Teamsters Local 315.
