The Contra Costa County Health Services Department is accepting applications on an ongoing basis to fill entry and experienced level positions in the Environmental Health Division. Positions may be located in the following areas of Land Development, Consumer Protection, Retail Foods, and Plan Check.
Working within one of the above program areas, Environmental Health Specialists perform environmental health inspections and investigations, secure compliance with applicable local and State health laws and regulations, and promote community interest in improvement of general environmental health.
Contra Costa Health Services Department offers a wide range of desirable benefits such as 3 weeks paid vacation, an average of 13 paid holidays per year, full medical and dental benefits, retirement and a deferred compensation plan as a supplemental option.
Applicants who are bilingual are encouraged to apply. Applicants successfully passing the County language fluency examination may receive an $100.00 monthly differential, depending on assignment.
