Exciting new position with potential of growth, the Intro to Film Instructor will supervise participants and organize lessons for youth ages 8-13 years old. Assist with the development of specific design curriculum with definite goals with measurable outcomes. Take responsibility for providing quality fine arts programming with continued growth. Participants will learn story boarding, creative writing, acting theatrical production, staging, prop, developing teamwork, video production and process.
In addition, be able to provide a safe and positive experience for all participants in the acting classes. Provide frequent interaction with members, class participants and parents/guardians of class participants. All of the staff time is spent directly with class participants in an instructional environment.
Qualifications
This position requires a commitment to the YMCA mission and its core values of: honesty, respect, responsibility and caring as well as a commitment to building developmental assets in adults and youth. Additionally, this candidate should value diversity, youth, teens and have a broad vision of health and wellness, which is enhanced by relationship building.
Must have First Aid and CPR or willing to obtain 30 days after hire. At least 2 years of experience working in game design. Knowledge of the practical application computer programming is preferred. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services. Responsible and dependable adult at least 18 years old with ability to supervise participants and organize lesson plans. Starting Pay Range $10.00-$20.00 per hour
