Position Title: Afterschool Site Director at Briarwood-51455
Hiring Range: $15.00-$17.00 per hour
Status: Full-time, Non-Exempt (30-40 hours per week) during school year

Position Description:
The YMCA has an incredible opportunity to be on the forefront of delivering after school programs under the new Proposition 49 funding. We will be able to provide programs in schools and communities we have only dreamed about previously. We are looking for someone who wants to help create great programs, build assets in children, and be a strong supervisor. Under the direct supervision of the Program Director, the After School Site Director is responsible for the operation and supervision of the YMCA’s Prop 49 after-school program for children in grades 1st through 5th at an elementary school located in the greater San Jose area. General administrative duties include supervision of part-time program staff and volunteers, program development and quality control, work with the school to secure full enrollment 80+ elementary children, management of $103,000 budget, preparation of monthly grant reports, support of Parent Advisory Committee, and financial development through annual Community Support Campaign. The After School Site Director will have the unique opportunity to build strong relationships with the school site community with a strong presence and integration into campus life.

Qualifications:
This position requires a commitment to the YMCA mission and its core values of honesty, respect, responsibility and caring as well as a commitment to building developmental assets in adults and youth. Additionally, the candidate should value diversity and inclusion, and have a broad vision of health and wellness that is enhanced by relationship building.

This position requires a minimum of 2 years experience working in youth programs as well as experience in staff supervision, curriculum development, fiscal management, and program development. In addition, this position requires a minimum of 48 completed college units, BA or BS preferred. Attention to detail as well as strong planning and organization skills are a must. Ability to adequately observe participant activities and enforce safety regulations as well as lead and interact in group activities and perform related physical skills are required. Strong customer service and teamwork skills are a must. Bilingual in Spanish and/or Vietnamese preferred. Current First Aid and CPR certifications are required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
