The Contra Costa County Health Services Department is recruiting individuals to fill entry level and experienced level Respiratory Care Practitioner positions assigned to the Contra Costa County Regional Medical Center in Martinez.
Respiratory Care Practitioner I is an entry level position which requires no experience. Employees in this class assist in the treatment of respiratory disorders of patients in the Health Services Department using a wide variety of techniques and equipment. They also clean, assemble, and transport respiratory therapy equipment as requested and may operate an electrocardiograph machine on a relief basis.
Respiratory Care Practitioner II is a journey level position which requires experience providing respiratory care treatment to patients in an acute care hospital. Employees in this class adminster therapy care and life support to paitents in the Health Services Department and assist in making patient assessments for the purpose of establishing individual respiratory care plans. The also clean, assemble, and transport respiratory equipment as requested and may also operate an electrocardiograph machine on a relief basis and may provide work direction to other staff
Salary Ranges:
Respiratory Care Practitioner I: $4,067.03-$4,943.51
Respiratory Care Practitioner II: $4,977.37-$6,050.02
